Hi there. Thanks for visiting.
My name is Federico Zamponi; I'm a Creative Director born and raised in Buenos Aires and hold Italian citizenship in Milan.
I started my advertising career 15+ years ago at the mythic Agulla & Bacetti agency (ranked as the fourth-best in the world by the Gunn Report
at this time).
Afterward, I worked for over four years at Ogilvy & Mather Argentina with Hernán Ibarra (former Vice President at DDB Mexico and Co-founder of Hello_), Lucas Panizza (ECD at We Believers NY), and Gastón Bigio (Founding and Partner of David and GUT), focused on regional and global Coca-Cola projects.
In 2007, I moved to El Cielo, a boutique agency (founded by Agulla & Baccetti), where I focused on regional accounts such as Cartoon Network and Sony Entertainment Television.
In 2008, Rodrigo Grau (former Vice President at David San Pablo and Co-founder of Isla) and Ramiro Rodríguez Cohen (Gut's CCO) invited me to join the new team at BBDO Argentina. At BBDO, I was challenged to do ground-breaking work with PepsiCo Snacks & Beverages.
In 2010, I was invited by Nicolás Pimentel (co-founder of +Castro) to participate in the Lays Global Workshop held in Paris, which allowed me to develop a new global concept for this brand.
2012, I moved to FCB Argentina to work with Javier Campopiano (Chief Creative Officer at Grey Europe / Creative Chairman at Grey London) and Tony Waissmann (Regional CCO at Havas Hoy Miami). As Creative Director, I led senior teams on several consumer international brands such as Oreo, Club Social, Chips Ahoy, Nivea, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and JVC Pioneer. That same year, FCB received the most significant number of awards of any Argentine agency in Cannes Lions.
From 2012 until 2014, I was a Mentor of Creative Conceptualization at Brother Ad School in Buenos Aires, where I mentored students and showed them how to develop ad campaigns. It was a genuinely rewarding experience—Brother Ad School in Buenos Aires, which became Cannes's most awarded creative school.
In 2015, I was named Executive Creative Director at DDB Colombia, where I worked on international assignments for McDonald's.
In 2016, I managed all creative leads at Human Full Agency in Buenos Aires for Moët & Chandon (LVMH), Air New Zealand, and Coca-Cola products, to name a few. My creative input is also leveraged regionally for MG's prestigious British automotive company, managed by Human Full Agency in Chile.
Subsequently, I worked as Creative Director for the global hub of Nespresso at McCann Milan. I was responsible for the creativity and execution of integrated global campaigns that span 77 markets wide.
As a Freelance Creative Director, I worked closely with Julian Hernandes, CCO at Geometry Global for RTA (Dubai's public transportation services), based in Dubai. As a result, we won a dream come true pitch focused on Expo 2020.
Based in Milan, I developed creativity for TIM Italy with ToiletPaper Magazine (a Maurizio Cattelan company).
Later, I created for JEEP EMEA at GTC/WPP, reporting directly to Christopher Jones (Creative Lead at Google EMEA) and Cristino Battista.
(Creative Partnerships Manager at TikTok), focused on Fiat Chrysler EMEA. I also won the pitch of the year for IKEA Italy.
While in Buenos Aires, I worked as Regional Creative Director at Commonwealth//McCann, an award-winning global advertising agency founded
as a division of McCann WorldGroup to manage General Motors' business worldwide.
I've got a solid track record of creating campaigns for top-tier brands like Getnet and Banco Santander, one of the most prominent banking institutions in the world.
My role as an International Creative Director involves overseeing projects from start to finish, from conceptualization to production, always being completely hands-on. I'm proud to say that I'm a Certified Creative Strategist by Facebook, and my expertise is highly sought-after. I also give back to the industry by mentoring at the Creative LIAisons Coaches Program (LIA AWARDS) and serving as a Digital Jury at Little Black Book (LBB).
When I'm not working, I love nothing more than diving into a good book, binge-watching series, exploring new cities on foot, and spending quality time with like-minded friends.
