Museum of Broken Relationships

An interactive exhibition that invited the public to let go of the objects left behind by their past relationships.

The donated objects became Argentina’s first edition of the Museum of Broken Relationships, originally created in Croatia. Its founders, Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić, came to Buenos Aires to curate the exhibition.

More than 1,500 objects were donated. Eighty thousand people visited the exhibition, making it one of Argentina’s four most visited exhibitions that year.

The invitation extended the idea beyond the exhibition itself, turning the act of letting go into part of the campaign.
